Kohelet
Ecclesiastes
Vanity of vanities
A king who had everything — wisdom, wealth, pleasure — looks back and calls it all vapour. Under the sun, nothing lasts. But the Teacher's conclusion is not despair: fear Elohim and keep His mitzvot.
- Without Elohim, even the best life is meaningless
- There is a season for everything — Elohim holds all time
- True satisfaction comes not from achievement but from Elohim Himself
- The longing in Kohelet is answered in Yeshua, who gives life meaning
The Teacher (Qoheleth/Solomon)
