Chapter 46

Elohim Is Our Refuge and Our Strength

Elohim as the refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, is fulfilled in Yeshua, who promises never to leave His own and is present in every trial.

  1. Elohim Is Our Refuge and Strength

    No matter what shakes — mountains, nations, kingdoms — Elohim is our refuge. Be still and know He is Elohim.

  2. 1Elohim is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
  3. 2Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
  4. 3though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.
  5. 4There is a river, the streams of which make the city of Elohim glad, the kodesh place of the tents of the Elyon.
  6. 5Elohim is within her. She shall not be moved. Elohim will help her at dawn.
  7. 6The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice and the earth melted.
  8. 7YHWH Tzeva'ot is with us. The Elohim of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
  9. 8Come, see YHWH’s works, what desolations he has made in the earth.
  10. 9He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.
  11. 10“Be still, and know that I am Elohim. I will be exalted amongst the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”
  12. 11YHWH Tzeva'ot is with us. The Elohim of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
