Chapter 97

Adonai Reigns, the Earth Rejoices

Adonai reigning with fire and lightning, righteousness and justice as His throne, anticipates Yeshua's return in glory — the King whose appearing transforms creation.

  1. Adonai Reigns, Let the Earth Rejoice

    Adonai reigns and the earth rejoices. Fire goes before Him, and the heavens declare His righteousness.

  2. 1YHWH reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the multitude of islands be glad!
  3. 2Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
  4. 3A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.
  5. 4His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.
  6. 5The mountains melt like wax at the presence of YHWH, at the presence of Adonai of the whole earth.
  7. 6The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.
  8. 7Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!Fulfilled · Ivrim 1:6
  9. 8Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgements, YHWH.
  10. 9For you, YHWH, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods.
  11. 10You who love YHWH, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
  12. 11Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
  13. 12Be glad in YHWH, you righteous people! Give thanks to his kodesh Name.
